About the Governing Council
The Governing Council is the highest decision-making body of The Polytechnic, Ibadan. It provides strategic direction, ensures institutional accountability, and oversees the implementation of policies that drive academic excellence and institutional growth.
Functions of the Governing Council
Policy Formation
Develops and approves institutional policies and strategic plans
Financial Oversight
Reviews and approves budgets, financial statements, and major expenditures
Academic Standards
Ensures maintenance of high academic standards and quality assurance
Appointments
Approves senior appointments and promotions within the institution
