Barrister Gabriel Olajide Ojolowo is a Legal Practitioner by profession and a long-standing member of the Polytechnic Ibadan Governing Council. Olajide Ojolowo hails from Okeho in Kajola Local Government of Oyo State. He received his Secondary/HSC Education from Okeho/Iganna Grammar School and Olivet Baptist High School, Oyo respectively. He attended the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Osun State) for his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy (B.A. Hons). Based on his love and passion for the Law Profession, he proceeded to the University of Ibadan for his Law degree (LLB) and eventually his Legal Certification at the prestigious Nigerian Law School, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Mr Ojolowo is a veteran Legal Practitioner and Principal Partner in legal practice to Olajide Ojolowo and Co. He served as the Elected Executive Chairman of the Kajola Local Government, Okeho, Oyo State from 2007 – 2010 and also Chairman of the Interim Management Committee from 2003 – 2004. He was a member of the Polytechnic, Ibadan Governing Council in 2006 and also member of the Board of Great Nigeria Insurance (GNI) Lagos and it was during that tenure that the company became a public liability company and was listed on the Nigerian Stock exchange. He was the Legal Retainer/Adviser for the (CNC political party in Oyo State), in 1995. Also Legal Retainer to Kajola local government Oyo State between 1999-2002. He was a Legal Officer at the Federal Ministry of Justice, Department of Civil Litigation, 1993 – 1994. While he moved into Private Legal Practice, He handle cases for the federal Republic of Nigeria at the defunct Failed Banks Tribunal and He as since been involved in handling several areas of Legal Matters. He has again been returned to the membership of The Polytechnic, Ibadan to serve another term as a member of the Governing Council.
